Miyajima Island

A boat leaves from Motoujina Pier in front of the hotel. Itsukushima Shrine is a World Heritage Site. Its enormous red Torii (red shrine gateway standing in the sea) is one of the features that make this one of the three most scenic spots in Japan in any season.

Yamato Museum (in Kure)

This museum introduces the history of Kure, which was formerly the foremost naval harbor in Asia, as well as shipbuilding technology. There is an impressive one-tenth scale model of the battleship Yamato.

JMSDF Kure Museum

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park

There is a museum, a peace memorial hall, as well as many monuments surrounded by beautiful greenery and a river. A site that is close to the heart of everyone who wishes for peace. (In Hiroshima city)

Hiroshima Castle

Hiroshima Castle, nicknamed the Carp Castle, was built by Mori Terumoto in the 16th century. The original castle was destroyed by the atomic bomb. Today's reconstruction of the castle with a five-story donjon was completed in 1958. (In Hiroshima city)

Former Imperial Japanese Naval Academy (Etajima)

The building of the former Imperial Naval Academy is a beautiful red-brick building. The building now exhibits precious materials such as the final testaments left by Kamikaze pilots.

Onomichi

The stone steps and slopes of Onomichi have been the setting of many films and literary works. There are magnificent views from Senkoji Park, which can be reached by a cable car.

Kintai Bridge (Yamaguchi)

The graceful five-arched Kintai Bridge, with Mt. Shiroyama at its back, is a scene right out of a woodblock print. Access to the Iwakuni Castle, which offers a spectacular view, by cable car.

Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge (Ehime)

Completed in 1999, the Kurushima Kaikyo Bridge is world's first bridge to be comprised of three successive suspension bridges. The bridge is part of the Shimanami Kaido (sea route), which opened to traffic in 1999 and blends into the natural environment of the straits, delighting visitors with its ever-changing scenery.
