Tsumegizaki Suisen Matsuri Festival (Dec-Jan)
There are 3 million 'suisen' (daffodils) in Tsumegizaki and the entire headland is enveloped in their sweet fragrance during this 'matsuri' (festival) held during December and January. There is also a lighthouse located nearby which provides stunning views of Izu Seven Islands.

Kawazuzakura Matsuri Festival (10 February - 10 March)
This festival features early-blooming 'sakura' cherry blossoms which have bigger, pinker petals than the 'Somei-yoshino' (Yoshino cherry) variety. These sakura trees form rows some three kilometers long.

Minami-no-sakura & Na-no-hana Matsuri Festival (5 February - 10 March)
The pink sakura cherry blossoms flowering by the riverside and the expanse of yellow rape blossom which flower on the embankment create a splendid contrast.

Ryosenji Kaori-no-matsuri Festival (May)
Ryosenji Temple is an historic site which hosted the signing of the Treaty of Shimoda between Japan and the U.S. in 1854. The temple grounds contain more than one thousand American Jasmine plants.

Ajisai Matsuri Festival (1-30 June)
Held in Shimoda Park overlooking the town and port districts, this festival showcases 150,000 azaleas with three million flowers.

Situated on the Itado Coast about 2 kilometers north of the hotel, this festival exhibits some 30,000 aloe plants including peculiar floral varieties.
