Manza Onsen

Manza Onsen

Enjoyable aerial views combined with traditional Japanese hot springs

Found 1,800m above ground, in the vast forest within the Joshinetsu-kogen National Park, is a famous hot spring known as Manza Onsen. During Autumn, the mountains and it`s broad-leaved trees light up in a stunning yet elegant red and yellow colours. The lifts at Manza ski resort at this time are in service exclusively for the purpose of viewing the painted mountains. Beginning with Mt. Azumaya, one of the 100 famous mountains of Japan, a picturesque view of various mountains can be seen from the observation platform (right at the lift exit area). We also recommend a comfortable stroll through the colored leaves close by. To top it all off, enjoy the hot springs after your walk and rejoice in the stunning views of the mountains from an outdoor open-air bath.
