From the Tokaido Shinkansen high-speed train, Odawara Station: 40 minutes by taxi. From the Odakyu Romance Car, Hakone Yumoto Station: 25 minutes by taxi, or 30 minutes on the Izu-Hakone Bus. (get off at the Ashinoyu bus stop)

It only takes about two hours by car from Tokyo to get to Hakone where you will find an outdoor mineral hot spring that is closer to the starry sky than any other.

From Narita Airport

  • Train, bus
  • Walk 10 minutes to Terminal Building 2, then take the JR Narita Express bound for Shinjuku and get out at JR Shinagawa Station. At JR Shinagawa Station, transfer to the JR Shinkansen high-speed train and get off the train at JR Odawara Station. Then, go out the east exit and find the regularly-scheduled local bus at the number five bus boarding point. Get off the bus at Ashinoyu bus station. Call the hotel if you wish to have us pick you up.

  • About 1 hour from Narita International Airport to Shinagawa Station, then another roughly 30 minutes from Shinagawa Station to Odawara Station, and then 50 minutes by local bus.
