Usui Pass and Observation Deck

This is a pass that lies between Nagano and Gunma Prefectures. The altitude at the top of old Usui Pass is about 1,200 m. At the top, there is an observation deck known as “Sunset Point”. From this point, you can enjoy the splendid view of Mt. Asama, Yatsugatake and the Southern Alps. Also, with a glance below, you can experience a beautiful view of fresh greenery or autumn leaves spread all over. Take a walk into nature and elevate your mood with the sounds of mountain streams, and chirping of birds.
