Announcement about “Turn around crater warning” near Owakudani Park [NOTICE] ABOUT VOLCANIC WARNINGS

We

would like to express our sincere gratitude to all customers for their continued patronage.
Now, as reported, Owakudani’s eruption warning level has been raised from 1 (note that it is an active volcano) to 2 (regulation around the crater), and entry into the area has been restricted from Hakone. For this reason, the Hakone Ropeway that runs through Owakudani, the roads leading to it, the nature exploration trail, and some sections of the hiking trail are closed, and we are worried about you.

The hotels, golf courses, Hakone-en, and Hakone Komagatake Ropeway at each of our “Prince Grand Resort Hakone” facilities are more than 2 km away from the Owakudani crater area and are operating as usual. In addition, national and prefectural roads and public transportation that come to each facility are now operating as usual.

Future information will be posted on our website as appropriate.
We appreciate your concern, but thank you for your continued patronage.
