Notice of Hotel Accommodation Tax Introduction

Thank you for your continued patronage. Starting with stays on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, an accommodation tax will be introduced. Please refer to the details below and the websites of Hokkaido Prefecture and Kushiro City for more information.

Accommodation Tax

※ The accommodation tax rate applies per person, per night.
※ For accommodation tax purposes, the “room rate” refers to the room-only rate, excluding meals and other charges.

Tax Exemptions

• Children, pupils, students, and chaperones participating in school trips or other school events organized by schools as defined under Article 1 of the School Education Act (excluding universities)
• Children aged 3 or older and their chaperones participating in group events organized by certified children’s centers, nurseries, family daycare facilities, etc., whether for the entire facility or by age group
