Hakone-en is a tourist area located on the eastern side of Lake Ashi and offers shops and aquarium for visitors to enjoy.  There is a port where some tourist ferries stop and a station for ropeway, which lifts up to the top of Mt. Komagatake.  Within the Hakone-en area stands cottages of Hakone-en Cottage Camping.  The cottages are made of pine imported from Finland, and each and offers a comfortable room for guests with 2 to 4 people.  Cottages have sleeping lofts and also a veranda with table and chairs.  For dining, The Prince Hakone, a nearby Prince Hotel, has restaurants offering French and Japanese cuisine.  Public hot bath with hot springs is also located within the Hakone-en Cottage Camping area.
