In order to protect and preserve our beautiful environment we implemented the following:

1. Circular Economy steps

– We promote recycling* and repairing. We use high quality, Japanese materials designed for longevity and focus on reusing and recycling, thus reducing waste pollution.

2.Resource Efficiency steps

– We maximize the value of energy (all rooms are quipped with LED lighting; heating and cooling in all rooms is centrally calibrated to optimal temperatures for efficiency and comfort) and water (all dishwashers and washing machines operate on full loads to maximize water-to-item ratio), thus minimizing environmental impact.

– We promote sustainable transportation as a primary source: electric trains at nearby station and walking, thanks to central location. Electric car recharge stations are also available.

3.Ethical Practices steps

– We are deeply engaged in cultivating and supporting local community and culture, though supporting local businesses and artists, as well as hosting events for the entire community.

Furthermore, our regenerative steps include using natural bamboo from our forest for community workshops to support the restoration of an ancient Takanawa area custom of moon watching – TAKANAWA NIJUROKUYA – for social and cultural renewal as well as for strengthening community ties.
