Noritake Garden

In commemorating the 100th anniversary of NORITAKE CO., LIMITED, Noritake Garden was opened on October 5, 2001 on the premises of Noritake’s headquarters in central Nagoya, the very birthplace of modern pottery. This cultural and industrial tourism complex is set within a lush, green park. Visitors can watch the porcelain-making process and even try their hand at painting ceramics (for a fee) at the Craft Center. The grounds also feature a museum showcasing “Old Noritake,” a flagship shop offering tableware and lifestyle goods, a restaurant serving French cuisine on Noritake tableware, and a cozy café.Historic red-brick buildings from 1904 and six towering chimneys remain on site, serving as striking reminders that this is the birthplace of Japan’s modern ceramics industry.
