Former Residence of Shigeru Yoshida

The Former Residence of Shigeru Yoshida was built as a villa by Yoshida’s adoptive father Kenzo in 1884.
Shigeru Yoshida resided here from 1944 until his death in 1967.
It is said that Yoshida often walked through the garden.
That garden strongly reflects the diversity of tastes and unconventional personality of Yoshida,
who spent a long period posted overseas.
