Lake Biwa summer panorama—embrace the open air Swimming pool (outside the first floor of the Hotel building)
Our pool, featuring a design inspired by the shape of Lake Biwa, stretches 90 meters in length and 23 meters at its widest.
There’s also a shallow 30 cm children’s pool.

- Operating period: July 12 (Sat)–September 15 (Mon), 2025
- Operating hours: 9:00 A.M.–5:00 P.M. (*Open from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. from August 1st (Fri) to 7th (Thu) and from August 9th (Sat) to 17th (Sun), and from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. on August 8th (Fri). In September, we will be open only from September 5th (Fri) to 7th (Sun) and from September 12th (Fri) to 15th (Mon,).)
- Fees (exclusive to overnight guests):
Adults: ¥3,000, Children (ages 4–12): ¥1,500
Seibu Prince Global Rewards (SEIBU PRINCE CLUB) members:
[Diamond/Platinum Members] Free for up to 4 people
[Gold/Blue Members] Adults ¥2,000, Children (ages 4-12) ¥1,000 *Daily fees apply.
*Rates apply daily.
* Poolside deck chairs available for ¥500 per chair on weekdays and ¥1,000 per chair on weekends and holidays.
*Other information: The pool is operational only during the summer. Use of the pool is reserved exclusively for overnight guests.
[ Pool use guidelines ]
- Entry may be limited during peak times to prevent overcrowding.
- Operating hours are generally 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Before check-in, guests may swim from opening time. On the check-out day, guests may swim until 11:00 A.M.
- Please complete the check-in procedure at reception at the front desk and then complete the entry procedure at pool reception if you are using the pool prior to check-in.
- Please store valuables in the safe provided in your room or next to the pool reception desk.
- Please cover swimsuits with a T-shirt or similar clothing and wear beach sandals when moving between the room and the pool.
- Make sure to dry off completely before leaving the pool area.
- Place used towels in the collection racks at the pool entrance.
[ Prohibited items ]
| Glass containers, food (except beverages), beach umbrellas, beach balls, glass swimming goggles, flippers, snorkels, camping/outdoor gear, music players with speakers, pets, and any items that may pose a risk or disturb other guests. |

| *At the Lake Biwa Otsu Prince Hotel swimming pool, access is denied to individuals affiliated with criminal organizations or those with visible tattoos or body art. *Eating at the poolside is strictly prohibited. *Operating hours are subject to change based on weather and operational conditions. *Large swim accessories may be restricted during busy periods. *Re-entry on the same day is permitted. Please notify pool reception. *Dining in restaurants while in swimwear is not allowed. |
