Sanyo-so Springtime Garden Party

On Sunday, March 8th, 2026, for one day only, we will be holding our first Springtime Garden Party in our Japanese garden, featuring Japanese drum and koto performances as well as a tea ceremony.

Relax and enjoy some special moments of contentment in a garden filled with sounds evoking the arrival of spring.

[Taiko (Japanese Drums)]
Taiko are traditional percussion instruments that have been passed down as accompaniments for festivals and religious ceremonies across Japan. They are characterized by their powerful sound and lively performances. This event will let you experience the charm of Japanese culture by way of the taiko drums resounding through our Japanese garden.

Scheduled performance time: 12:30 p.m.

Koto music, played on the traditional Japanese instrument the koto, has been a familiar feature of court and chamber music since ancient times. It is characterized by its delicate and gentle sound. This event will let you enjoy the music of the koto as it accentuates the tranquility of a Japanese garden.

Outdoor Tea Ceremony
The tea ceremony is an element of Japanese culture centered around the savoring of quiet moments through a cup of tea. Our outdoor tea ceremony will give you the chance to drink tea while enjoying a Japanese garden. Free drinks will also be available in the garden.
