5:30 P.M.: Dinner (Matsu Course) at the restaurant
9:00 P.M.: Enjoy Izu-Nagaoka Onsen
Relax to your heart’s content in the private, free-flowing hot spring bath in your room or soak in the open-air baths of the large communal bathing area.
8:00 A.M.: Breakfast of steamed rice cooked in a traditional pot served at the restaurant
10:00 A.M.: Food education and etiquette experience
Learn about the fundamentals of Japanese cuisine, focusing on dashi (broth), through demonstrations and hands-on experience in a Japanese-style room designated as a tangible cultural property.
The proprietress, a certified “Washoku (Japanese cuisine) Master” instructor, will provide instruction on Japanese dining etiquette.
*The lecture is intended for participants of around age 10 or older.
12:00 noon: Lunch
Enjoy a meal with the proprietress while putting your newly learned dining etiquette into practice.
2:00 P.M.: Departure
All participants will receive commemorative chopsticks from the proprietress.
