Camellia Garden is located in a Japanese-style house built about 100 years ago, located less than a 1 minutewalk from Ryoan-ji temple and its famous rock garden.
For over 400 years the spirit of Sen no Rikyu and his method of enjoying tea has been passed down through the generations. Tea ceremony has become a great symbol of Japanese culture. 
At Camellia Garden you will learn all about the history and culture of matcha, and in a tearoom overlooking a traditional Japanese garden you’ll enjoy an authentic tea ceremony. Before leaving, you will have the chance to learn how to prepare the perfect cup of matcha!
