Mount Hakkai, a sacred mountain with legends dating back to the 7th century, has long been revered as a place of worship. Throughout the year, it reveals the beauty of nature in its purest form, but autumn is especially breathtaking. The vivid colors blanket the entire landscape, creating a radiant display that invites you to reconnect with the mystical power of nature.

A panoramic resort in the sky at an altitude of 1,147 meters

Enjoy an aerial stroll to the summit station aboard an 81-passenger ropeway. From the observation deck, take in spectacular autumn panoramic views stretching across the mountains of the Joshinetsu region and even as far as Sado Island beyond the sea. During this season only, rice balls made with premium Koshihikari rice from Minamiuonuma are offered at the restaurant.

A special ropeway service is available in the early morning for enjoying the sea of clouds and mountain climbing.
