On November 21, 2025, Okinawa Prince Hotel Ocean View Ginowan obtained the ESG Practice 4 (4 Gyoiko Zakura) rating under Sakura Quality An ESG Practice (also known as Sakura Quality Green), an international certification that recognizes facilities implementing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) expected at a global level.
This certification serves as an opportunity for us to continue thinking about what we can do for people, society, and the environment, and take further efforts contributing to the realization of sustainable tourism.

About the Sakura Quality Green certification

Sakura Quality An ESG Practice, administered by Sakura Quality Management Co., Ltd., is an SDG certification program for accommodation facilities, whose standards have been approved by the US-based Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).
The certification consists of 172 items based on 42 GSTC standards and is evaluated on a five-level scale by way of a response to a checklist and on-site inspections by auditors.
Our hotel has obtained the high rating of the ESG Practice 4 (4 Gyoiko Zakura) on the five-level evaluation, which positions us as “Regenerative” (a facility that enhances the local environment as the number of customers increases) in recognition of our active engagement with the natural environment and society.
