With growing interest in environmental considerations, on April 1, 2022 (Friday), the “Law Concerning the Promotion of Resource Recycling of Plastics” will come into effect. The “Law Concerning the Promotion of Resource Recycling of Plastics” will come into effect on Friday, April 1, 2022, Prince Hotels & Resorts proposes sustainable and eco-friendly travel.

Proposal1： Stop using disposable toiletries, Bring your own items that you normally use.
We provide disposable toiletries in our rooms, but in order to reduce plastic waste, we will donate the “unused” toiletries to environmental preservation activities as a contribution from our guests.
Prince Hotels & Resorts aims to end the use of disposable amenities in the future. Prince Hotels & Resorts will offer sustainable travelers the opportunity to bring their own familiar toothbrushes.
Please note that some hotels, such as Prince Smart Inn, are not eligible for this offer.
Proposal2：For consecutive nights, Choose not to clean your room
In order to reduce the burden on the environment by reducing plastic waste and water pollution caused by detergents, we will donate your kindness to environmental conservation activities if you “do not wish” to have your room cleaned, bed made, or linens, towels, and amenities changed.
We have been recommending this as an “eco-friendly activity” in the past, but we have changed it to “donation” to connect our guests’ kindness to the future.
*This activity is for those who stay at the hotel for 2 nights or more.
For hygiene reasons, we will clean the rooms every three days.
Some hotels, such as Prince Smart Inn and The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, are not eligible for this program.

When you cooperate in not using amenities and not requiring cleaning, We will use your kindness as a donation to support the environmental conservation activities of local governments (prefectures) where our facilities are located.
About “Law Concerning the Promotion of Resource Recycling of Plastics
In order to address the issues of plastic waste and climate change, which affect marine pollution and ecosystems, the “Law Concerning the Promotion of Resource Recycling of Plastics” will be enforced on April 1, 2022 (Friday).
In order to regulate and reduce the use of single-use plastics, the guidelines require the accommodation industry to rationalize the use of specific plastic products (hairbrushes, combs, razors, shower caps, and toothbrushes).
