As leaders in the tourism industry, we are committed to pursuing a future that all travelers and leisure seekers can enjoy. To this end, we are implementing various sustainable initiatives that involve our customers, staff, and all stakeholders.
Sustainability at Kamakura Prince Hotel
1. Ending Disposable Amenities
Kindly bring your personal toiletries. You may also opt-out of room cleaning during long stays.
*If guests support us by not using disposable amenities and choosing not to have their rooms cleaned, the Hotel will donate the equivalent cost to environmental conservation activities in the local district where the facility is located.
2. Protecting Kamakura’s Seas
We are working to halt ocean acidification (where the ocean absorbs carbon dioxide, causing seawater to become more acidic) in the Shonan seas and protect the beautiful ocean and its ecosystem.
・To protect the Sagami Bay ecosystem, we collaborate with local residents and participate in coastal cleanup activities.
・We have begun gradually switching all lighting within the hotel to LED bulbs.
・We carefully set the temperature of our air conditioning systems with energy conservation and power saving in mind.
3. Bike-Sharing Program
Embrace sustainability and health with our bike-sharing service—environmentally friendly and emits zero CO2.
