Enoshima, visible from Kamakura Prince Hotel,
is known for the Enoshima Shrine, dedicated to Benzaiten, one of the seven Deities of good fortune.
Crossing the Benzaiten Bridge from Enoshima Station,
at the entrance to the approach leading to the shrine you will find a bronze torii gate lined with shops on either side.
Travelling past the Shrine,
you will find Chigoga-fuchi, picked as one of the top 50 scenic spots in Kanagawa
and the Enoshima Iwaya Caves said to have been a place of religious training for the Buddhist Priest, Nichiren.
Along the way you will also see the symbol of Enoshima,
the Enoshima Sea Candle and the botanical garden, Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden.
