“Autograph Daruma Journey” by Marriott Autograph Collection Hotels in Japan

Five distinctive Autograph Collection Hotels in Japan — Osaka Station Hotel, The Prince Kyoto Takaragaike, The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo, TIAD, Autograph Collection (Nagoya), and mesm Tokyo, Autograph Collection — will jointly host a year-long travel campaign titled “Autograph Daruma Journey” from January 1 through December 31, 2026.
Inspired by Japan’s traditional good-luck charm, the daruma doll, each hotel has created its own exclusive hand-sized collectible that embodies the unique spirit, color, and design of the property. Together, these limited-edition daruma bring the individuality of each Autograph Collection Hotel to life — transforming every stay into a meaningful journey of discovery and collection.

Autograph Daruma Journey – Accommodation Package

The Autograph Daruma Journey invites guests to explore five Autograph Collection Hotels across Japan.
Each participating hotel presents its own original Autograph Daruma, designed to reflect the hotel’s distinctive character and local heritage.

In Japan, daruma dolls symbolize perseverance and good fortune — one eye is painted when making a wish, and the other when that wish comes true. As you travel, each daruma you collect will stand as a quiet guardian of your hopes and experiences along the way.

Enjoy a heartwarming journey filled with unique encounters, stories, and one-of-a-kind designs available only through this limited campaign.

About the “Autograph Daruma” of The Prince Kyoto Takaragaike

The Kyoto edition of the Autograph Daruma draws inspiration from the iron door of BAR ASCOT, a design that embodies the refined aesthetic of the hotel’s architect, Togo Murano.
Its design fuses traditional Japanese motifs reminiscent of a kimono sash with elegant craftsmanship that harmonizes with Kyoto’s cultural spirit.
We hope this daruma becomes both a memorable keepsake and a conversation piece for guests visiting our hotel.

About “Autograph Moment”

Every Autograph Collection Hotel cherishes the unique stories that define its identity, offering guests unforgettable moments known as “Autograph Moments.”

Autograph Moment – The Prince Kyoto Takaragaike
— A line that breathes the architect’s heart —

The final sketch drawn by architect Togo Murano continues to live here, taking form in light and wind.
Curved lines that echo the seasons, and the quiet elegance of a sukiya-style retreat — all exist in harmony with the timeless rhythm of Kyoto.

Upon arrival, guests receive a sketch card of Murano’s hand-drawn design, and in the early morning, the hotel opens Charyo, a teahouse he designed, inviting guests to experience the essence of Japanese beauty through architecture.

Even as time flows, the spirit Murano instilled remains ever present —
this is the Autograph Moment of The Prince Kyoto Takaragaike.
