Takuboku Ishikawa Song Memorial

The memorial stone engraved with the song My father though sixty came into his inheritance and listens at the feet of the priest stands in the grounds of the Daisenin Temple, Tairadate, NishineTown. Takuboku’s father was from Tairadate. He entered the priesthood at Daisenin Temple. Here too stands the family grave of Takuboku. And in Tairadate Station is a tablet engraved with For a lark I carried my mother on my back but fell to laughing at her lightness and could not go three steps.
