"Lake Hamanako Hotel" on Benten Island in Lake Hamanako was designed in 1938, taking Uji's Byodo-in as its inspiration. It was later reopened after moving and reconstructing on the shores of Lake Ashinoko as "Ryuguden". An adjoining annex was set up in 1990, and today each spacious room looks out on Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashinoko.
