Mizunomori Water Botanical Garden

Situated to the east of Kusatsu City’s Karasuma Peninsula, this botanical garden is home to a unique theme park called the Lotus Pavilion and wows visitors with a wide array of aquatic plants. It is filled with flowers throughout the year. Next door, along the shores of Lake Biwa, lies one of Japan’s prime habitats for lotus flowers (Blooming Season: July to August).
